Karen Peck & New River
Born a King
They were snuggled in their warm beds
With a good place to lay
While the little Lord Jesus
Had to sleep upon the hay
No room in the inn
No place could be found
So, they gathered up the straw
That lay scattered on the ground
And there He lay
The stars shining bright
The little baby Jesus
Born a king on that night
What a gift to all mankind
So that everyone could find
Happiness and, oh, such love divine
What a time of rejoicing
The host of angels sing
Glory to God in the highest
Praises to thе newborn king
Wise men camе with gifts of old
Glad tidings on that day
They bowed down and worshipped Him
In His glorious array
And there He lay
The stars shining bright
The little baby Jesus
Born a king on that night
What a gift to all mankind
So that everyone could find
Happiness and, oh, such love divine
What a gift to all mankind
So that everyone could find
Happiness and, oh, such love divine
