How Lucky Am I?
Red light through a kaleidoscope paints you something unusual
When the hurricane makes its way to you, it exposes such a cruel, dark world
When the light is off, it means much more to us
I left the door open for you in case you made your way back home
And I traveled the coasts for months on end to find you but you never showed
Threw your coat on the floor, lifeless as a bird
And if I don't hear you calling me no more
Then that will teach me a lesson that's good to know
You put your copper pendant on a star
Some of us want nothing, somе want it all
I'm moving like a zombie in trance, looking for my nеxt victim
And I'm stuck between wanting you or only wanting your devotion
Such a shame for us to never exist at all
I made the plans so when I leave you hanging, I can say that I tried
I seize the day, keep playing pretend
You can tell me if that's a crime
How lucky am I to feel anything at all?
If you don't feel welcome, then you should go
Cause just yesterday, I didn't know who you were
I've never needed a shoulder to lean on
Some of us need purpose, some don't at all
Some of us want nothing, some want it all
