This Old Truck
When I pull up to the light people turn and stare
Diesel smoke blowing up in the air
They pull off coughing and choking I can't help but smile
Some shoot me the bird I've been cussed out
They say my truck's just too damn loud
But this pile of rust just turned half a million miles

She can pull like a Peterbuilt
Been a lot of memories behind the wheel

Me and Cindy Johnson fell in love
In the backseat of this old truck
Parked out by the river on a Tennessee night
I've watched the sun set on that tailgate
Counted every star on Parksville Lake
And on a cold December morning she'll crank right up
Good God I love….This old truck

When I turned sixteen daddy gave me the keys
Said this old truck's been a gooden' for me
A little polish and some time you can make her shine
When I picked up my date for the senior prom
It was covered in mud you should've seen her mom
But I gave her a big ol' hug said she'll be just fine

She can pull like a Peterbuilt
Been a lot of memories behind the wheel
Me and Cindy Johnson fell in love
In the backseat of this old truck
Parked out by the river on a Tennessee night
I've watched the sun set on that tailgate
Counted every star on Parksville Lake
And on a cold December morning she'll crank right up
Good God I love….This old truck
This old truck

I've watched the sun set on that tailgate
Counted every star on Parksville Lake
And on a cold December morning she'll crank right up
Good God I love….This old truck
This old truck
