As some of you might know, the first concert we did with Epica was in the 013 venue in Tilburg, which is a beautiful venue, by the way, especially to have your first concert at, but we had a little problem
As we haven't recorded "The Phantom Agony" yet, we also couldn't use "Adyta" as an intro like we do during the gigs after its release, so I decided to try and record it myself in the little studio I have at my place, just a week before
The CD version of course is much better with choirs, orchestra and no proper arrangements, but I still think it turned out pretty well, especially since it was only recorded in one night
One thing I like a lot in this version, is that you can clearly hear the mandolin, which on the CD version is almost impossible, since it is mixed away far to the background
And also a nice detail, back then, the song was still called "Auditum", but when we made the track list of the album, and decide to have "Sensorium" as the openings track, well, Mark thought it would look silly to have two titles ending on the same two letters right after each other, so we decided to change it into "Adyta" instead, which means the same anyway
