Broken Homes

An empty house that echoes my memories

The walls and ceilings are closing me in

Fading screams whistle through my head

Nowhere to hide, nowhere to go

Bring me back to where it all began

A simple life without a single doubt

I can't imagine to wake up carefree

The past is nothing but a dreamy memory

This place, once used to be warm

Used to keep us safe and secure

I'm losing everything as I'm and standing by

I've watched everything fall to pieces

But all these memories I carry with me

Lead me back to here:

An empty house that echoes my memories

The walls and ceilings are closing me in

Fading screams whistle through my head

Nowhere to hide, nowhere to go

'cause I lost everything I used to know

Where's the heart when you don't have a home?

We've lost grip, let it slip, nothing left to get on to

Is this the end or a brand new start?

Years have past, we've rebuild from nothing

Back on track but I remember everything

I realize time has never stopped

'cause now I'm lost in the streets where I grew up

This a part of me that made me a man

And I'm glad to be the person I am

But my memories remain

And the echoes, they will sustain

I've seen it all slip in front of my eyes

And so I watched it die

No words, only tears and silence

This broken home buries broken hearts

Everything that we've been fighting for

Rests without peace in this broken home
