Liam Gallagher
BBC Radio 5 Live Interview, 19/06/2013
Liam Gallagher:
Beady Eye are a big band. Beady Eye is that size band. Everyone keeps saying we're doing small gigs and like, we're gonna be, gonna announce big **** stadiums. That's where we're at and we'll stay at that until you **** pull your fingers out and buy our **** records.

Phil Williams:
So the people who say you should be doing stadiums, why do you think they're saying that?

Liam Gallagher:
Cause they're obviously living in the past, I guess. Know what I mean? We're not saying it. We're just booking gigs where we're meant to be going. And that's the size of our band, unfortunately. Cause we are the **** and we should be playing **** The Etihad three nights, not some **** fat **** idiot.

Phil Williams:
Do you mean Mr Robbie Williams?

Liam Gallagher:
Well yeah, you know what I mean? It's a shame, innit? Real ****music, just ****, know what I mean? But it'es the way the **** world is these days, innit?

Phil Williams:
Do you still dislike him?

Liam Gallagher:
No, it doesn't matter, no, it's just him, I'm getting on him cause, it's just him. It could be any **** man, you know what I mean? I think it's a shame that, doing three nights, and a band like, you know, a band like us are doing one night at The Ritz. Poor, mate.

Phil Williams:
What was that about, then?

Liam Gallagher:
No, it's not about him. It's about people in general.
Phil Williams:
Yeah, yeah yeah. Is that about the state of...?

Liam Gallagher:
It's about **** him. Just in case you think that I'm scared, or something.

Phil Williams:
I don't for a minute think you're scared of Robbie Williams.

Liam Gallagher:
Go on.

Phil Williams:
You've got to fancy your chances in a foot chase, haven't you? He's let himself go.

Liam Gallagher:
The only thing that **** could beat me in is karaoke. Hands down.

Phil Williams:
Is this about the state of music in general, then?

Liam Gallagher:
Yeah, I think we're on there. We're a proper live band and you'll see it tonight, man. Unlike, it's just sad. You know the **** is winning, well and truly. And I think it's from the entertainment kind of thing. People'll just, you know, people go, Wow! Look at that! It's like, no-one get, you know, people are getting off on, people coming upside down or whatever. It's like, you know, it's like, where's the **** music? When they actually listen to the **** music, there's not much going on there really.
