A Moment
You take my photo at the top of the hill
I'm smiling and laughing, yeah I'm having a thrill
For a fleeting moment, I forgot the bomb
Future feeling bleak so I jot down a thought

I heard that living is jazz, you can play it how you like
I play mine free as I can
But when I'm sitting on a bench inside the shopping mall
Next to the swap meet
I can't help but think that my freedom is a myth
Some goddamn punch that I've been sipping

I hand the cashier my object desire
She asks for my cash, now I've become the buyer
For a fleeting moment, she forgot the bomb
Lost in her labor as she chases the dollar

I heard that living is jazz, you can play it how you like
I play mine free as I can
But when I'm sitting on a bench inside the shopping mall
Next to the swap meet
I can't help but think that my freedom is a myth
Some goddamn punch that I've been sipping
