September Stories
Anatomical Heart
Come find a world that will take you as you are
Dust off the hate that's been clenching you in
And hide away into the threads
In disarray you feel its caress

And I can feel you in the colors
And I can feel you in the canvass

A portrait of the light that you held up
You break away from the sins that you have loved
I hate the way that you draw me in
I love the way that you draw me in

Come take a walk as you spill onto this page
Drown out the noise thats been keeping you up
The words like knives on my skin
Just try not to let them in

And I can feel you in the colors
And I can feel you in the canvass

A portrait of the light that you held up
You break away from the sins that you have loved
I hate the way that you draw me in
I love the way that you draw me in

Theres a pain in my jaw and it aches in my sleep
Theres cuts through my hands and yet i've chosen not to speak
Of how your day to day finds its release from this life thats turned three shades of bleak
And how he's able to cope despite fighting these
Self destructive tendancies that haunt him in his sleep
He needs some fixation to fixate upon
Or be sedated by his sensation thats captivated his will to go on
Regardless this displacement has numbed him through and through
But yet he found salvation in pages and lyrical phrases that gave him something to cling too
This is a love, this is an escape from this all to ordinary hate that you've grown to know
That you allowed to fester in your life

I sought for love with closed eyes and an unfulfilled heart
