Fall

Narrator:
The kiss radiated with expressive brilliance lasting several long moments until finally the angel and demon parted. The angel shooting into the air, swooping her body savagely, while the demon smiled bashfully, his head hung in reverence

Demon:
There's shadows now, you'll come to find
That smear the world between the lines
Some things change along the way
Black and white turns

Angel:
To shades of gray

Narrator:
The angel cried out that she was free for the exploration of sensuality. She spoke of the sweet grapes of the world, of arcing in ecstasy and the romance of suffering, while the demon ruminated on the world's bitterness, and how all his lost moments of ecstasy had brought only scars in the absence of serenity

Demon:
The sands of time, and fiery nights
Have shadowed now, my dreams of flight
But sometimes still, when dusk has gone
I stand eyes closed

Angel:
With outstretched arms

Demon:
I've lost my road, my thrills, my dreams
I've burnt and bled
I've lost my wings
All to taste, those same sweet grapes
And was the price
Angel
Worth the pain?

Narrator
Staring intently at the dirt road that wound away from the cliffside, the angel removed her wings, placed them on a nearby stone, and disappeared down the path. The demon watched long after she had gone. Finally he rose, picked up the discarded wings, put them on, and took a deep breath. He broke into a wild run and leapt over the edge of the cliff

Choir:
Fall little angel
Fall little angel and then I
Fall, and with these broken wings I'll fly

Fall little angel
Fall little angel and then I
Fall, and with these broken wings I'll fly

Fall little angel
Fall little angel and then I
Fall, and with these broken wings I'll fly
