It’s Not Over
It's not over
Hear those words again
It's not over
Listen to that again
It's not over, it's not over, it's not over
It's not over
Your life isn't done
There's a fight to be won, and you're just getting started
It's time to fight back like Leo in The Dearly Departed
Mel Gibson Brave Hearted
Could go on about these movies for hours, don't get me started
'Cause I used to believe life was like a movie
James Dean wannabe, you'd know it if you knew me
And he grew up not far down the street
Or at least a few towns down the road
Always thought it would be cool to be known like he was known
But also found myself watching his movies on repeat when alone
Giant, East of Eden, and Rebel Without a Cause
I'm hearing the music like the treble when it falls
So turn that up and the bass a little too
If you're listening to this poetry, I have news for you
God isn't through with you
And He can use you long after He's used you
And your life can be extraordinary if you choose to
And you don't have to be who you used to
I hope to God I can lyrically boost you
If I met you, I'd look you in the eye like I knew you
And I'd tell you that you're beautiful
And that you're powerful
And that you can be anything and anyone that you want to be
If you don't believe me, come and see my God, He's something to see
When I feel like drowning, I come up to breathe
And somehow, someway, He's there in the waves to find me
And I sail with Him across the seas
I find I'm most powerful when on bended knee
God's will never bent for me
And for that I'm thankful that the Tell the World family was sent for me
And we're just getting started
I talked to God in Gethsemane's garden
And He told me what I'm about to tell you
And listen to my words because it's the best of news
It's not over, it's not over, it's not over
It's not over!
God is still on the move
And He'll use me if I still choose
And I choose You, and all of You
Even though I don't understand You and the things You do
It's not over, it's not over
Listen to my battle cry
It's still "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" 'til the day I die
