[Spoken: Ryan's Mom]
Hey Ry, it's mom
If you didn’t know
It's so crazy to think you're a man now
With a wife and kids of your own and
I’m just so proud of the man you've become
Now, you have your own little boys
It's gonna be a crazy, fun ride
It already is, isn't it?
But do you remember I took you and your brother to a live Power Rangers concert
And I remember how fixated you were
When you were watching all the Power Rangers do all their um, acrobatics
Back-hand springs and stuff
And when we got home, you rushed to get your Power Ranger figurines out
And you started to reenact the concert
All of a sudden, you just did a back-hand spring
I couldn't believe it
Out of nowhere
I guess, you know you were just inspired enough
And fearless enough to just do it
One thing about you, you never back down from a challenge
You always, you always took them on
You tried, you tried everything
You tried ballet, you got a scholarship for ballet
You tried boy's hula
You tried tap dance
You did hip-hop
You did hip-hop and you pretty much excelled at all of these things
I was so, I was just so amazed by you and every time I watched you
Why am I getting all teary=eyed?
You know, I know you and Cass didn't expect to have a child born with special needs
Like Asa
But God knows exactly what He's doing
And I just want to encourage you
To remember
How much you’ve been through
And how much you’ve overcome
And how amazing you are
And how much I know you can handle this new chapter in your life
I want to encourage you to be the man that God created you to be
And not be like everyone else
Trying to copy
Someone else's sound or style
Or even their life
And be relentless in being original
And be different because God made you unique
I just wanted you to know that
And encourage you a little bit today
I love you so much
I can’t even tell you how much I love you
