Except the boys family he lived in a small farm. This war made families tear apart, brothers against brothers. The brutal truth of wars was taking place Henry realize that the uniforms for each soldier was poor against the bite of a bullet.He wants to find a way in which he can also fight knowing that he will have good type of protection on and when that happens only his courage can determine his fate and whether he'll finish up this war with honor, dead or alive.

This a book about a lady named Celie. She had to struggle a lot through the years. It just seem like life will never be easy for her. She knew how to survive, needing little to get by. Her husband was her lover in which barreled into her world and gave Celie the courage to ask for more, to laugh, to play, and finally to love.
