So Sunrise Be
If the evening sky is just a blanket
With holes that shine
Then the sunset of your soul is just the same
It's a cover to make dark your night
When your heart tries
To hide it's galaxies and all the winding rivers of your mind
And from the summit of your mountain you can see the world
Oh but the world can't see you
So you go up with your well intended wars
And you fight your way the whole night through
It's what you do when your heart
Hides it's galaxies and all the winding rivers of your mind
When it dives with ancient ease and melts into the indigo of time
But time as told by sand
Will fall until its end
And where the river meets the sea
You'll come falling back to me
Cause at the mouth of every twisted stream
There is an opening where light is free
So sunrise be
Well you say my song it wears a blanket
With holes that shine
That beneath the pulsing of my phrases
Time is beating out of time
When my heart tries
To hide it's galaxies and all the winding rivers of my mind
When it dives with ancient ease and melts into the indigo of time
But time as told by sand
Will fall until its end
And where the river meets the sea
I'll come falling back to thee
Cause at the mouth of every twisted stream
There is an opening where light is free
So sunrise be
Holy and ageless
Lighting the pages we cannot see
Sunrise be
Infinite endless
Giving the nameless identity
Unlock their voices and let them ring
I have a window facing east
By the morning I write to the river
By the light of the moonbeam's crest
I sing a song to the east from the west
