Monday’s For Good
It happened once before long long time
I think it maybe was in twenty-one-nine
Or maybe twenty-twenty was the year
When the first signs of the plague did appear
Since then our ways of life have changed a lot
The lock-down was the very thing we got
The cities and streets became quite bare
And everybody was having fun elsewhere
See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
People so benign life is slowing down
Rivers (oh!) so clean, you can see the ground
See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
There days like these when the time was ripe
For another life fly, fly, fly, fly, fly away...
We never have returned to former times
We're sitting pretty watching the mountain sites
Or Marvel at the sunsets by the seas
While hanging upside down from apple trees
Now you may ask does such a life make sense
Not much but sense is often mere pretence
And you may ask if such a life proves out
The answer's "yes", without a single doubt
See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
People so benign life is slowing down
Rivers (oh!) so clean, you can see the ground
See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
There days like these when the time was ripe
For another life fly, fly, fly, fly, fly away...
(Dear friends, be grateful for friendship
Find fulfilment by reaching your own goals
Follow the right path for yourself express yourself freely
Give a big hug
See the light at the end of the tunnel
And never give up hope
Enjoy unexpected free days
Do jobs around the house
Celebrate your favorite football team
Dig in cool sand with your hands
Pray for a better world, the one we hope for
Listen the cats purring
Pets give us unconditional love and loyalty
And many other joyful reasons to live - and share
Rejoyce the new life
The privilege to see your offspring grow in mommy's tummy
And then shaping them to be good and to do good one day
Feel your blood moving in your body
The warmth of the sun on your back
The rain on your face
Embrace the beauty and majesty of our planet
Love nature and the people of the earth
See the world through the eyes of a child
And listen to the music you love
Don't be afraid of the dark and melancholy
And don't worry
Better times will come for sure.)
