Emily Dickinson
Letter 363 (late July 1871) - no ms. Mrs. Lucius Boltwood
To thank my dear Mrs Boltwood would be impossible. That is a paltry debt - we are able to pay.

It is sweet to be under obligation to my School Mate's Mother. I thought that the flowers might please him, though he made like Birds, the exchange of Latitudes.

It is proud to believe that his Privilege so far surpasses Ours.

Let me congratulate his Mother.

                                                                                                  Tenderly,

                                                                                                        Emily
