The Problem With A Street
The problem with a street is it never lets you sleep
A [bionical?] mind beats so consistently
And when they built this street whoever would believe
That they'd create a place with such indifferent company

Lights and drains and [?] and rushing cars
And stray alarms and [?]
And through [?]
The problem with the street

The problem with the street is it exhorts in such strange ways
The latches, locks and gates and rushing from place to place
And when I cannot sleep the street it always sets this stage
Where shadows act display and make the same tearful mistake

It always ends the same, you see
The street below pulls you in
And turning once and finally
You walk into a memory

The problem with the street, you see
The problem will always be
The problem is the street
It took you away from me
