Hello, it's RAYE here.

By the time you're reading this, my first baby will be yours. Literally in your hands. The blues found me when I was fourteen years old on a trip to the US. I had just started my songwriting career when I discovered and became completely enamoured by this genre. Typically a twelve bar chord progression (one, four, five) that each held a different, raw, painfully honest, yet desperately pure song insidе of them. True story telling in its most nеcessary form. Over the years of my life I have collected many stories... but it never seems to be the beautiful kind of stories that remain clearest in the mind, it always seems to be the other kind.

My 21st Century Blues are the shards of glass I have collected over my little life. Some sharp and painful to hold. Some I've managed to hold up to a new light but after many years I have finally pieced them together to show you... Bloody hands and all. My fears, pains, traumas, ex's, vices, abusers, addictions, my tears, my rage, my anxieties, my hope, my bounce, it is all packed in this album!!!!

My stories through SONIC EMPOWERMENT. Although this is my blues, you will (I hope) will feel more than just my blues. I have never been one to hold back the truth... SO share it is.
