Marvin Gaye
Introduction of Orchestra (Live)
[Spoken]
Thank you very kindly, ladies and gentlemen
We'd like to take the time that we have presently to have you say hello to some of the wonderful gentlemen on stage who are, of course, making it all possible for us
Before we do, may I express my sincere appreciation for your being such a warm, cordial audience
Ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to have you meet my very competent musical director
He's a good friend, he's a composer, terrific alto saxophonist
He's also this year's—he's this year's pole vaulting champion
No, no, no, wanna have a great big round of applause for Mister Maurice King right here, ladies and gentlemen
We think the orchestra's, think the orchestra's doing a marvelous job
We'd like to have them stand up and take a well-deserved round of applause—gentlemen
You're very kind
