Ladies and gentlemen
Welcome to the 1930 Wimbledon
Grass courts, fast talk, “So, how does it feel to win?”
It was a thrill afterwards with snacks and hors d’oeuvres were served
Back at the countryside shack it was packed
Signed a couple tennis racks
[?] the winner’s plaque
Girls were piggyback
And pools, it was cool
They had multiple rooms
Lotions, perfumes
Jewelry flair, night’s clear, exposes the moon
Beneath was silent film actors and actresses
Dancers, politicians and activists
The wine was flowing, the band was blowing
Immaculate, time was slowing
Tans were showing, extravagant
Championship gambling chips
Dancing hips, money clips
The place was roaring
Bets took, people watch by the floormen
“What’s up, Toots?”
“Nothing, Johnny, I see you came in with your crooks”
“Yeah, I got some at the poker table”
“I see you’re in your books”
“Yeah, it’s just some names of some dames, some lames”
"Let’s bet small change, ya know"
Yeah, they had rooms where you could get a massage or a menage
Dealers bet with the cards
Outside, the freshest cars
Inside, the smokers, the best cigars
The vocalist did a solo set from PR Panama
Glance by the piano set by the bar
Crackers and caviar
Oh, what a good time, everyone’s having fun
’til these masked men kicked open the door, came in with guns
One shot the doorman in his head
Alcohol ran down his pants
The other tried to squeeze, but his trigger jammed
So he kept pulling and pulling ’til finally a bullet came out right into this female’s mouth
Her brain flew right into someone’s food
Screams, people yelling, running, ducking under tables
The projector running, showing quiet films of Clark Gable
People on the floor, groaning, holding their heart and navel
Blood everywhere
“Hey Johnny, I know you’re in here somewhere
Me and my goons are gonna blow this whole joint
Everybody’s dying
No one’s leaving alive ’til we find him
And when we do, we’re gonna give him the big business”
That’s when this female ran by
He grabbed her neck then twisted
Everybody’s on the hit-list
Then stabbed the poor woman with scissors
The man on his back said, “please, no more”
Then he took the back of his gun and beat his head into the floor
The hatchet man with the work with the knife all night
The goons squeezed the Uzi
They shot the hot mama, the looker, the hooker, the sweet [?]
“Give her a two piece”
The big guy put on the clamps
Shut off her lamps
Then gave everybody in the click joint lead poison
Everywhere the smoke appoint
It hit all of them
Then Johnny Boy popped up out the shadows with Toots in his arm
“Alright, boys, move in”
“Okay, Skip, stay calm, I got this dame”
But he did the same
He put one in her arm and one in his brain
Oh well
Now you can see all of their pictures in the lobbies of hotels
