Looking out my midnight eyes
Looking out at the midnight sky
Staring up at infinity
Glaring as far as these eyes can see
Should probably go to bed
And give these midnight eyes a rest
They've seen enough of this world for a day
I don't know how much more they can take

Turn the lights off
Slide under the sheets
Pull the pillow right under my cheek
Lay on my side
I thought I was tired
Why's it taking so long, to go to sleep
I thought I was tired
But these midnight eyes, keep lying to me
