Game On
Every story needs a hero
To slay the dragon, scale the wall
And here I thought I had one
But sometimes, heroes fall
Well, I’m no princess in a tower
Pining night and day
The hero said game over
But that’s okay
‘Cause, me, I say

“Game on
Bring the danger and the glory
Game on
Bring me straight into the scrum”
And I know I’ll become the new hero of my story
See my sword is drawn
Game on

Though the boat is full of monsters
With razor fangs and beady eyes
I know they can’t be half as bad as
Those I’ve had inside
So I’ll blaze forward on my quest
If the war is black as night
And sure the hordes attack me
But that’s alright
‘Cause I can fight
Game on
Bring the danger and the glory
Game on
Bring adventure fraught with chance
And I know I’ll advance to new levels of my story
Till my fear is gone

The fear that like so many players I cannot prevail
That no matter what I do, I too may fall or flee or fail
It’s true, not everyone survives the perils of the plot
But who needs extra lives?
I love the life I’ve got
So ready or not

Game on
While I find my way to glory
Game on
Now my journey’s worth the sun
For my tale has begun
I’m the teller of my story
And the fear is gone
