After investigating the most viewed songs & artists on Genius in 2014, we decided to find out what the Grammys would look like if Genius page views were used to determine the winners. Each category is listed in order of page views, and we've included view counts to show you how close the 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be.If Grammys were decided by how many people view lyrics, superstars such as Kanye West, Eminem and Beyoncé would sweep the Grammys. Just look at Beyoncé. Her self titled 5th studio album dominated the charts, airwaves, and Genius pages in 2014. With a total page view count of over 35 million, at the Genius Grammys, Yoncé would be going home with Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best R&B Song, and Album Of The Year
Fan favorite Eminem wouldn't be far behind her, his accumulated total for Best Rap Album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration tops 30 million views.
Without Queen B to compete with for Song of the Year, new comer Hozier looks poised to take out the coveted award for his song "Take Me To Church". Considering Spotify also predicted he would win the award, and Rick Rubin loves his music, Hozier must be feeling pretty confident.
